At poponin, our approach is relaxed and flexible. We want you to get the most out of your time and session. While we're here to help when needed, we also give you the space and freedom to experiment and fully immerse yourself in your chosen craft. This way, what you create is truly unique to you. Nothing here is pre-prescribed.

When you arrive, your area will be set up and ready for you.

Pottery Painting:
We’ll show you all the available options. While we don’t carry a huge range, we regularly restock and typically have pieces to suit most visitors.

Clay Handbuilding:
Your workspace will be prepared, and we’ll give you a brief overview of key techniques. Then, you’ll have time to decide what to sculpt. We’ll check in periodically to make sure everything’s going well, and you can ask for help anytime.

Pottery Wheel Taster Sessions:
We’ll guide you to the wheel area, provide an introduction, and show you how the wheel works. After a briefing and some time to familiarize yourself with the wheel, you’ll begin your session. We’ll observe closely but won’t overwhelm you. We’re always on hand for questions and will step in with guidance as needed.

Session Length:
Pottery and clay sessions last between 60 and 90 minutes, depending on your chosen activity.

Glazing:
Once your piece has been kiln-fired, we’ll contact you to choose your glazing options.

Additional Info:
Extra time can be added and is charged by the half-hour (subject to availability). We provide aprons for your comfort and protection. Our facilities include a toilet and a separate handwashing area.

Please note, our hot water is set to a safe, ambient temperature and won’t get any warmer.
