Club FAQ's

Do I need to book?
Yes.  We encourage you to book our club session(s) in advance as we can get really busy in peak holiday periods.   

What is the pricing model?
Prices are per person and vary according to the session you book. 

Who can visit poponin clubs?
poponin is open to all ages and all abilities. There is so much you can do at poponin. Mixed aged groups or individuals will all find something to create. Our clubs accept children from 5 upwards for 3 hours, 4 hours, short day or any times in between. Long day clubs are available to children aged 7 upwards. Children aged 4 years, and attending school, can attend clubs when older siblings are attending.  Club sessions for 4 year olds start at 3 hours.

Our after school club welcomes children from Year 1. We also welcome children in reception if they have an older sibling who also comes to the club.

Are there lots of people at the after school and holiday club?
We purposefully limit the numbers to ensure ‘clubbers’ have a very enjoyable time in a relaxed and fun environment. For this reason, during holiday times if you want to be part of the holiday club we strongly recommend booking and for after school we recommend signing up to regular sessions. Of course as the name suggests you could book on the day but you may end up disappointed.

What happens if I come alone?
If you are attending a poponin club on your own please be assured that we make every effort to include you in all activities and help you be part of the whole group that are attending poponin.  Very often those attending alone make meet new friends.   At our after school clubs all year groups mix together and work alongside each other to help make everyone feel welcome.

What happens when I come with a group of friends?
If your group is booking individually but all the friends in the group want to sit together we try our best to accomodate this.  The best way to ensure this happens is to use the additional information box on the registration form and let us know who is part of your group.

Do you run teen sessions?
Yes, we regularly hold teen sessions. These are designed to create a space where they can experiment, improvise and simply enjoy the process of creating without worrying about the end result. Sessions are very friendly and gives the opportunity to practice what they may already have in process as school. We have varied sessions and would suggest subscribing to our newsletter to keep up to date.

Do you provide snacks/lunch/drinks?
We recommend bringing your own snacks and drinks to holidays clubs.  We are able to replenish drinks throughout the day and encourage drinking throughout your childrens stay.  

For the after school clubs we provide a range of snacks and drinks.

Are there any additional costs to clubs?
Yes, but only if you decide to add additional crafting materials.  All those attending clubs have access to our standard materials, which are vast.  In addition anyone attending clubs  can bring along pocket money to spend on other items such as t shirt personalisation, pottery painting, mug personalisation and more.  We charge a standard £6.00 for any additional items.
